Service-Learning (SL), as an educational philosophy and methodology, is being the object ofgrowing interest at a theoretical and research level and at a practical level at various educational levels andcontexts. However, research on the impact or effects of the use of the methodology focuses mainly on theperspective of students and especially in Higher Education, but the perception of teachers has been scarcelystudied. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the characteristics of the research on the perception ofuniversity professors on the use of the SL methodology so far through the systematic review of the scientificproduction consisting of the analysis of various descriptive variables extrinsic to the scientific process. Theanalysis allows confirming an increase in interest in the object of study, as well as identifying the characteristicsof the research on the perception of university teachers involved in SL practices in the contextof Higher Education. In this sense, it is necessary to deepen the analysis of the content of the research toachieve a greater knowledge of the state of the art of the topic proposed in this work and, with it, contributeto continue expanding its conceptual and methodological frameworks for a better understanding. and scientificconsolidation.
