    • The aim of this study was to characterize the different protein tyrosine phosphorylation distribution on Percoll-washed sperm attached to epithelial oviductal cell from porcine oviductal explants. Oviducts were collected from commercial cycling sows and semen from tested boars. Sperm were divided in two aliquot: one of them was centrifuged through a density gradient of Percoll and the other no, and incubated in the oviducts during 1 h. Later, oviduct was cut into four parts: ampulla, ampullary-ithsmic junction (AIJ), isthmus and utero-tubal junction (UTJ) and analyzed by indirect inmunofluoresce. Sperm without any treatment showed lower tyrosine phosphorylation levels than sperm washed through Percoll gradients in all sections of the oviduct. Un-washed spermatozoa increased levels of phosphorylation when were incubed in the oviduct. However, Percoll-washed sperm maintained similar levels of tyrosine phosphorylation. High levels of tyrosine phosphorylation were not found in sperm bound to epithelial cells, even in spermatozoa washed through Percoll gradients. Only spermatozoa with no-phosphorylated acrosome were able to attach to oviductal cells. Oviduct modulates tyrosine phosphorylation and selecting sperm population with low tyrosine phosphorylation levels.
