Twenty local Tunisian goats were allocated into 2 groups. They were fed on oat-hay ad libitum and 600 g of concentrate. Two types of concentrate were used; the control one (C) was a mixture of barley, soybean and mineral-vitamin supplement, the experimental concentrate contained the same mixture more 0.06% of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) essential oils (REO). Distributed and refused foods were weighed daily. Animal’s weight and individual milk yield were weekly recorded. The daily hay dry matter intake was not affected by rosemary essential oils incorporation. Whereas, this additive improved the goat’s daily milk production (582 vs. 442 ml for REO and C groups, respectively); consequently, rosemary essential oils incorporation has affected kid’s growth especially for the average daily gain at 10-30 day of age (70 vs. 74 g for C and REO groups, respectively). In conclusion, rosemary essential oils dietary supplementation could be recommended in goat’s nutrition for its benefits on production.
