    • Objectual poetry is a type of visual poetry capable of appropriating students to contemporary artistic practices and developing the different skills established in the primary education curriculum and, specifically, social and civic competences. To develop this competence and foster students’ critical thinking, they can carry out activities of a dialogical or monological nature. The main objective of this study is to analyses what types of activities promote the development of students’ critical thinking. To check the data of this research, a qualitative case study has been carried out in a classroom of a higher grade of primary education. Therefore, a didactic sequence based on the analysis of object poetry has been implemented. During the analysis, students’ own and divergent thinking has been completely observed as it is combined. The conclusions to which the above study refers to the importance of creating critical readers from dialogical practices based on the use of border literary texts such as object poetry.
