  • Resumen
    • Social networks are a new communication space. In this sense, the Internet has gone beyond the metaphor of a tool to become a space for cultural and social interaction. In fact, the daily and constant use of new technologies is an essential element in post-modern society or liquid society. Currently, access to the Internet through small devices such as tablets or smartphones is the function of a shell institution in families, in other words, technology as a tool for care. This situation implies that the new generations give social networksa transcendent social value. A research based on data mining and sentiment analysis is presented, which studies a YouTube profile aimed at infancy and childhood in order to understand the behavior of this channel. The study window is set between February and August 2020. The results show a growth in peaks in views, likes and dislikes in the first 72 hours of posting a video. Similarly, there is a majority positive polarity and content based mainly on symbolic play in home environments. We do not perceive a strong marketing influence through unboxing techniques, but follow a more traditional storytelling canon. The need to continue studying and analyzing the new profiles of children’s youtubers in order to understand the new social reality is established.
