Resumen de “Somos todos extraterrestres! Será?”: Investigando a origem da vida a partir da sala de aula

  The origin of life is a topic that arouses great curiosity in the scientific community. Some theories try to explain how life could have come about, but there are still many gaps to be filled when the subject is “How did the first living being come about?”. However, it is clear that this subject is complex to be worked on in high school classes, considering it to be a subject of great abstraction for most students. In this context, teaching by investigation presents itself as a strategy with great potential, to bring the origin of life as a mystery to be unraveled by students, through the raising of hypotheses, discussion and practical research, escaping from traditional teaching and lectures. This work offers an investigative teaching sequence (SEI), to work on the theme "Origin of life", which, according to the Basic Curriculum at Escola Estadual do ESPÍRITO SANTO (2009), is studied in the 3rd grade of high school, developing in students scientific thought, bringing a new perspective on teaching the origin of life through teaching by investigation.

  A origem da vida é um tema que desperta grande curiosidade no meio científico. Algumas teorias tentam explicar como a vida poderia ter surgido, mas ainda há muitas lacunas a serem preenchidas quando o assunto é “Como surgiu o primeiro ser vivo?”. Entretanto, percebe-se que tal assunto apresenta complexidade ao ser trabalhado em turmas de ensino médio, considerando ser um tema de grande abstração para a maioria dos estudantes. Nesse contexto, o ensino por investigação se apresenta como estratégia de grande potencial, para trazer a origem da vida como um mistério a ser desvendado pelos estudantes, através do levantamento de hipóteses, discussão e pesquisa prática, fugindo do ensino tradicional e das aulas expositivas. Este trabalho propõe uma sequência de ensino investigativa (SEI), para trabalhar o tema “Origem da vida”, que de acordo com o Currículo Básico Escola Estadual do Espírito Santo (2009), é estudado na 3ª série do Ensino Médio, desenvolvendo nos estudantes o pensamento científico, trazendo uma nova perspectiva no ensino da origem da vida por meio do ensino por investigação.
