  • Resumen
    • video lectures are becoming popular but are they as effective and learning supportive as expected? In the context of our survey videolectures are used as theoretical material in the clinical subjectpaediatrics. The goal of the study was to find out how much students actually watch videolectures andhow they evaluate the use of videolectures for their study preparations (for seminars and exams) andfor overall learning. Survey was carried out among the students in the course of paediatrics. Studentswere asked to complete the survey in the web-environment. As well panopto statistics were used. Asresult of the survey students reported that they liked the possibility to study with videolectures. At thesame time for some students this was not the preferred learning style. Depends on the different featuresof the videos, how much they support or do not support student learning and study preparations.Students reported that the quality, length and speed of videos are the essential features that influencedtheir learning from videos. Videolectures can be effective tool for supporting learning, but only, whenused as supplementary material with auditorial seminars and tutorials.
