  • Resumen
    • A handful of activities has been explored and implemented to improve Earth Science students’abilities to engage —as reflective citizens— with geoscience-related issues and ideas. Engaging in areasoned discourse on Earth Science requires, among other things, the ability to recognise, describeand assess explanations for a range of geological phenomena. By generation of research questions toliterature relevant for essay assignments, the students are compelled to deal with literature at an earlierstage. Writing and peer-reviewing of essays expose the students to the topics in several ways. Gettingindividual feedback from peers and teachers make the students able to further develop and improvetheir geoscience literacy by becoming more aware of their own strengths and weaknesses
