The presented paper deals with the frequently discussed issues of the development of pupils' computational thinking. The ability to think as an IT engineer is one of the important competences that enable pupils to develop and apply themselves not only in the informatics fields, but also in everyday life. The need for this development is becoming increasingly acute and follows the already established concept of information literacy development, which is still important but has already been overcome in certain areas. The current situation in the field of creation and promotion of the innovated curriculum of computer science subjects, especially with regard to the development of the concept of Computational Thinking, is being increasingly reflected in the conditions of Czech education. The question, however, is, what educational content is preferred by computer science subjects` pupils, and which specific topics are accentuated by the latter. We shall try to answer the question in this paper which presents several partial outputs of the research focused on the issue of pupils` preferences regarding the educational content of computer science subjects taught at primary schools in the Czech Republic, the target group being computer science subjects` pupils.
