    La presente investigación parte de un acercamiento al Internet de las Cosas (IoT). Buscando mostrar, de forma palpable, su funcionamiento y cuan real es en el mundo el aporte que brinda a la sociedad y al medio ambiente. Resulta interesante la inserción de la UCI en medio de la sociedad y la posibilidad que tiene la universidad de ser parte de quienes aporten al medio ambiente y a la sociedad cubana el uso de desarrollo de este avance tecnológico. IoT ya está presente en muchos lugares del mundo. Es objetivo de este trabajo revelar las condiciones reales que tiene Cuba para implementarlo, y beneficiar así a la sociedad (comenzando en la UCI) y al medio ambiente.

    This research is based on an approach to the Internet of Things (IoT). Seeking to show, in a palpable way, its operation and how big the contribution it provides to society and the environment is real in the world. It is interesting to insert the UCI in the middle of society and the possibility that the university has of being part of those who contribute to the environment and to Cuban society in the use of development of this technological advance. IoT is already present in many places in the world. It is the objective of this work to reveal the real conditions that Cuba has to implement it, and thus benefit society (starting in the UCI) and the environment.
