    El texto ofrece una propuesta de estructura para la construcción del concepto dignidad en el contexto de la Educación Social. Esta configuración inicial puede modificarse y adaptarse en función del contexto profesional, pero ofrece la posibilidad de hacer una primera reflexión sobre esta cuestión.

    Hay algunos autores que han abordado el tema de la dignidad desde diferentes puntos de vista relacionados con la Educación Social, y algunos otros lo han hecho desde disciplinas muy cercanas y han ayudado a construir también un constructo teórico sobre ella. Aunque haya todo este recorrido literario es conveniente poder iniciar una construcción más específica suficientemente flexible como para poder ser adaptada a las diferentes realidades del oficio. La simple discusión sobre unos ejes iniciales propuestos puede conllevar la composición de una definición cada vez más identificada con la Educación Social.

    Se construye el concepto de dignidad a partir de tres ejes fundamentales en el hecho de ser persona: la identidad como núcleo personal, la dimensión social como reconocimiento del otro en el proceso de formación de la propia identidad, y la libertad última que es el motor interno que permite a la persona tomar las decisiones oportunas en cada momento para forjar el propio itinerario vital

    This paper offers a proposal of a structure to create the concept of dignity in the context of Social Education. This initial configuration can be modified and adapted according to the professional context but offers the possibility of making a first reflection on this issue.

    There are some authors who have approached the issue of dignity from different points of view related to Social Education, and some others have done so from very close disciplines who have also helped to build a theoretical approach to it. Despite this literary journey it is convenient to be able to start a more specific construction flexible enough to be adapted to the different realities of the profession. The simple discussion about some proposed initial axes may entail the composition of a definition that must be increasingly identified with Social Education.

    The concept of dignity is built on three fundamental axes in the fact of being a person: identity as a personal nucleus, the social dimension as recognition of the other in the process of forming one's identity, and the ultimate freedom that is the internal engine that allows the person to make the appropriate decisions at all times to forge the vital itinerary itself
