    Este artículo está hecho en conmemoración de los 300 años de la fundación de la actual Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV) fecha que se cumplirá el próximo 22 de diciembre.

    Está elaborado con el objetivo de relacionar este hecho con la formación histórico-social de Venezuela; origen, evolución, desarrollo y trasformación de Universidad y autonomía universitaria en nuestro país; formación, creación y difusión del conocimiento y pensamiento científico, humanístico y cultural producido en la UCV, en particular en el campo de las ciencias sociales y las humanidades; y participación de universitarios en lucha independentista, luchas políticas y sociales de Venezuela en los siglos XIX y XX.

    This article was writed in commemoration of the three hundred years since the foundation of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) in december 22, 1721. We pretend stablish the relationship of this fact and the development of Venezuela in a social and historic context: origin, evolution, development and its transformation of the university and its peculiar inner behaviour: formation, creation and forecasting of the knowledge and scientific thinking, humanistic and cultural in UCV enclosure in particular in the field of the social sciences and humanistic, so on the presence of members of this in the indepedence figths, political confrontation in XIX and XX centuries
