O potencial dos textos literários na aprendizagem de línguas adicionais sob a ótica da teoria dos multiletramentos

    This experience report intends to discuss how literary texts can be useful for additional languages learning based on the studies of the pedagogy of multiliteracies proposed by The New London Group (1996). First, theoretical studies that investigate how literary texts have already been used in language classes are mentioned, to then propose a new theoretical foundation, anchored in the studies of Kalantzis and Cope (2012), Kalantzis, Cope and Pinheiro (2020) and Kress (2010). Next, two multimodal textual productions by students from a federal technical high school are presented. Our analysis revealed that literary texts are designs of ample opportunities for learning both the language in use and education for social critical citizen action.

    Este relato de experiência pretende discutir como textos literários podem ser úteis na aprendizagem de línguas adicionais embasada nos estudos da pedagogia dos multiletramentos proposta pelo The New London Group (1996). Inicialmente, são mencionados estudos teóricos que descrevem como os textos literários já foram utilizados em aulas de línguas, para então propor nova fundamentação teórica, ancorada nos estudos de Kalantzis e Cope (2012) e Kalantzis, Cope e Pinheiro (2020) e Kress (2010). Em seguida, são apresentadas duas produções textuais multimodais de estudantes de uma escola pública federal de Ensino Médio Profissionalizante. A partir da análise desses textos, podemos perceber que os textos literários são designs ricos em oportunidades de aprendizagem tanto da língua em uso como da formação para atuação social crítica e cidadã.
