    El patrimonio inmueble de Málaga ha sido una de las líneas de investigación del profesor Francisco García Gómez. A través de las publicaciones que dedicó a este campo, se presenta aquí una revisión personal sobre algunos ejemplos de actuaciones positivas y negativas bajo su criterio, a la par que se expone la situación actual en la que se encuentra la legislación encargada de salvaguardar la arquitectura y el urbanismo local, así como de los diferentes catálogos que los recoge. Se recuerda además la necesidad de su actualización debido al peligro que supone su estatismo para este tipo de bienes culturales.

    Immovable heritage was one of the topics of research pursued by Professor Francisco J. García Gómez, notably during his studies, as it was the subject of his doctoral dissertation and many of his published academic papers. In one of them, he advances a classification comprising positive, negative and intermediate actual heritage interventions, based on his own criteria. In the following article, I make a personal revision of those interventions, detail some points that support or oppose his stances, connect them to other aspects found in his research, and assess the present condition of some of those elements. Furthermore, I analyze a number of public documents pertaining to the protection of local architecture and urbanism, including municipal and regional catalogues. It is in those documents where the different protection levels that have been given, as well as the associated possible interventions, can be found. By considering their stasis, the dangers facing the preservation of this heritage become apparent. In conclusion, I emphasize the right of all citizens to enjoy them.
