Sobre el teónimo lusitano Labbo

    En una inscripción de Plasencia recientemente publicada se ha propuesto reconocer los teónimos en dativo Solidi, Labbo y Lacissabricobo, el segundo de los cuales está atestiguado también en la inscripción lusitana del Cabeço das Fráguas. Sin embargo, creemos que la interpretación adecuada de esta inscripción debe ser como una secuencia de fórmula onomástica personal con genitivo patronímico Solidi, seguida de un teónimo con su epíteto, ambos en dativo plural (Labbo Lagissabrigobo), lo que implica un cambio respecto del análisis lingüístico tradicional del teónimo Labbo.

    The editors of a recently published inscription from Plasencia (Cáceres) have found in it three god names in the dative case: Solidi, Labbo, and Lacissabricobo, of which Labbo was already attested in the Lusitanian inscription from Cabeço das Fráguas. However, this new inscription should rather be interpreted as consisting of a naming formula that includes the father’s name in the genitive (Solidi), followed by a god name plus its epithet, both in the dative plural (Labbo Lagissabrigobo), which involves a new linguistic analysis of the god name Labbo.
