Resumen de Influencia del perfil y la formación preuniversitaria del alumnado en el rendimiento académico: Estudio en la asignatura de Química del primer curso de Grado en cuatro Titulaciones UCM

En este trabajo se analizan y comparan las características del perfil de los estudiantes de nuevo acceso en cuatro titulaciones de Ciencias de la UCM. Además, se examina el rendimiento académico del alumnado que ingresa en la Universidad en la materia de Química, y su relación con su situación de partida. Asimismo, se han detectado las carencias que presentan en dicha materia, mediante la autoevaluación del grado de conocimiento del temario preuniversitario de la asignatura. Los resultados muestran que la mayoría de los estudiantes habrían elegido otra carrera universitaria si hubieran obtenido las calificaciones necesarias, y un menor conocimiento en temas que se imparten específicamente en el curso preuniversitario.

This paper analyzes and compares the characteristics of the profile of new students in four science degrees at the UCM. In addition, the academic performance of students entering the University in the subject of Chemistry is examined, as well as its relationship with their starting situation. Likewise, the deficiencies they present in this subject have been detected, based on the degree of knowledge's self-evaluation of the pre-university syllabus of the subject. The results show that the majority of students would have chosen another university course if they had obtained the necessary qualifications for it, and less knowledge in subjects specifically taught in the pre-university course.
