El tratamiento de controversias sociocientíficas (CSC) en el aula es indispensable para lograr una alfabetización científicaque capacite para la toma de decisiones. Las controversias socio-científicas surgen y nos rodean en los temas más actualesy emergentes de nuestra sociedad, el tema que tratamos en este trabajo es de tremenda actualidad, por la importanciaque ha tomado SARS-CoV2 en la sociedad mundial. La imagen consensuada con la que suelen aparecer las noticiascientíficas en los medios de comunicación va a dificultar su utilización en el aula. Del análisis de noticias actuales sobreel tema elegido, hemos podido seleccionar actividades que utilizan controversias en el aula de ciencias, para fomentar laalfabetización científica y el pensamiento crítico.

The treatment of socio-scientific controversies (CSC) in the classroom is essential to achieve scientific literacy that ena-bles decision-making. Socio-scientific controversies arise and surround us in the most current and emerging issues of oursociety, the subject that we deal with in this work is extremely topical, due to the importance that Covid-19 has taken inworld society. The consensual image with which scientific news usually appears in the media will make it difficult to useit in the classroom. From the analysis of current news on the chosen topic, we have been able to select activities that usecontroversies in the science classroom, to promote scientific literacy and critical thinking.
