    O artigo discute a questão da representação dramática do processo de sub-jetivação nas peças Romeu e Julieta e Noite de reis. Com base no conceito de individualismo de fronteira, procura-se pensar as principais personagens de tais peças, com o objetivo de discutir a tensão entre o anseio de dominar plenamente as próprias ações e o imperativo de uma resignação prudente.

    This article discusses the matter of the self-fashioning's dramatic representation on the plays Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth night. Thinking of the individual as a boundary, one analyses the main cha-racters of these plays, in order to discuss the tension between the expectation of complete control of one's actions and the necessity of a prudent resignation.
