    Se indaga sobre el proceso de invención de Rosario como ciudad turística durante los últimos veinte añosatendiendo aspectos urbanísticos, políticos y culturales impulsados por el gobierno municipal y el Ente TurísticoRosario. Para ello, se analizan las estrategias turístico-patrimoniales de tres espacialidades a partir de las cualesse configuró la noción de turismo urbano local y que se sintetizan en las figuras del patrimonio, la costa y elbulevar. Se trata de elementos que sostuvieron políticas, acciones y retóricas orientadas a inventar un destino,unos atractivos y cierto pasado urbano que operan como referencias identitarias de la ciudad.

    This research investigates the process of invention of Rosario as a tourist city during the last twenty yearsattending urban, political and cultural aspects carried out by the municipal government and the Rosario TouristBoard. For this, we analyze the tourism-heritage strategies of three elements from which the imagery of localurban tourism was configured, and which are synthesized in the figures of heritage, the coast and the boulevard,as elements that sustained policies, actions and the rhetoric oriented to invent a destination, its attractions andcertain urban past that operate as identity references of the city.
