    En este artículo se publica por vez primera la traducción de un documento sacado de los Anales de Cuauhtitlan y transcrito en el siglo XIX por el célebre nahuatlahto Faustino Chimal-popoca Galicia. Se trata de una buena parte de la tradición histórica del antiguo altepetl Cuitlahuac, del año 1222 al 1517. Se presenta también un estudio introductorio en donde se señalan algunos datos biográficos del copista, así como un somero análisis de su producción historiográfica.

    This article is the first publication of the translation of a document transcribed in the 19th cen-tury by the renowned nahuatlahto Faustino Chimalpopoca Galicia, which was culled from the Anales de Cuauhtitlan. It covers a large part of the historical tradition of the ancient Cuitlahuacaltepetl from 1222 to 1517. An introductory study also offers some biographical data on the copyist, as well as a brief analysis of his historiographic production.
