    Este trabajo se centra en la evolución del sector hotelero en España durante el primer franquismo; en concreto, en la reconstrucción del sector hotelero privado en un contexto institucional muy distinto al existente antes de la Guerra Civil. El nuevo régimen optó por una fuerte intervención de la economía, siendo éste el marco de actuación donde hubo de desenvolverse una industria considerada clave para el desarrollo turístico. Por eso, en este estudio se analizan las dificultades a las que se enfrentaron los empresarios de la hotelería en esos años, así como la evolución del sector.

    This paper focuses on the evolution of the hotel sector in Spain during the first Franco regime; specifically, in the reconstruction of the private hotel sector in an institutional context very different from the one that existed before the Civil War. The new regime opted for a strong intervention of the economy, this being the framework of action where an industry considered key to tourism development had to develop. For this reason, this study analyzes the difficulties that hospitality entrepreneurs had to face in those years, as well as the evolution of the sector.
