Satisfação e Desempenho Escolar: Análise com Estudantes da Educação Profissional Integrada ao Ensino Médio

    Satisfaction with the school and the student's academic performance are fundamental aspects to be managed by educational institutions;however, little is evaluated as to how this relationship occurs. We verified how the satisfaction of students with professional education integrated with high school in the State education network of Recife, Brazil is related to school performance based on the Pernambuco Education Development Index (IDEPE). The research is exploratory-descriptive, being carried out through a face-to-face survey. We collected data from two school units and then compared it with the index analyzed. The results indicated that school students with better performance in the index, are more present. The services provided were also better evaluated by school participants with higher performance, indicating that satisfaction can positively result in the result of the index. This study contributes in a theoretical and practical way by revealing that although the structure is a relevant aspect for the evaluation of students, what most increases satisfaction and performance in school rates is a way in which the services offered by the institutions

    A satisfação com a escola e o desempenho escolar do estudante são aspectos fundamentais a serem gerenciados pelas instituições de ensino, no entanto, pouco se avalia como se dá essa relação. Verificamos de que modo a satisfação de estudantes com o ensino profissional integrado ao ensino médio da rede Estadual de ensino do Recife, Brasil se relaciona como desempenho escolar a partir do Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação de Pernambuco (IDEPE). A pesquisa é do tipo exploratória-descritiva, sendo realizada por meio de um survey presencial. Coletamos dados de duas unidades escolares e, em seguida, comparamos com o índice analisado. Os resultados indicaram que os estudantes da escola com desempenho melhor no índice, são mais satisfeitos. Os serviços prestados também foram mais bem avaliados pelos participantes da escola com maior desempenho, indicando que asatisfação pode influenciar positivamente o resultado do índice. Este estudo contribui de forma teórica e prática ao revelar que apesar da estrutura ser um aspecto relevante para avaliação dos estudantes, o que mais aumenta a satisfação e o desempenho nosíndices escolares é a maneira na qual os serviços são oferecidos pelas instituições.
