Resumen de Bienestar y democracia. Una relación compleja. El problema de la materialidad y el desarrollo social en la sociedad abierta

  Se analiza la complejidad dialéctica del pensamiento político en tiempos modernos, especialmente en lo atinente en la relación asimétrica entre democracia y bienestar. Mediante método analítico, se hacen intentos por reconstruir la retórica plasmada en la discusión entre tres de los más resaltantes modelos de esta relación: la posición liberal, el llamado Estado de bienestar, y finalmente, el neoliberalismo. Cada una de estas posturas genera unas consecuencias en el nivel ciudadano, pero también en el nivel social, cuestión que aquí se resalta. Se concluye que al estado actual no solo se le reclama protección (Estado policial), sino también salud, educación y previsiones.

  The complex dialectic of political thought in modern times is analyzed, especially as regards the asymmetric relationship between democracy and welfare. Through an analytical method, attempts are made to reconstruct the rhetoric embodied in the discussion between three of the most prominent models of this relationship: the liberal position, the so-called welfare state, and finally, neoliberalism. Each of these positions generates consequences at the citizen level, but also at the social level, an issue highlighted here. It is concluded that the current state is not only demanded protection (police state), but also health, education and forecasts.
