    A través del caso concreto de la «recuperación» de la trompa de la Ribagorza vemos cómo se produce la inserción de un nuevo objeto, en este caso un instrumento musical, dentro del complejo de una tradición local. Serán las acciones individuales de un gaitero de la localidad de Graus (Huesca) las que hilen esta historia que comienza por una etapa de investigación y reconstrucción del instrumento (en realidad, una re-creación tanto histórico-narrativa como del objeto en sí), a la que sigue otra de difusión y que terminará probablemente este año con la inserción definitiva del nuevo instrumento dentro de los actos festivos tradicionales. Todavía queda por esperar la reacción del público-pueblo ante tal cambio; se abre así otra etapa interesante de la investigación: la aceptación o rechazo del nuevo implante cultural.

    The specific case of the revival of the trompa de Ribagorza ('horn of Ribagorza'), allows for the observation of the insertion of a «new» object, in this case a musical instrument, within the complex of a local tradition. It will be the actions of an individual, a pipe musician from the locality of Graus in the pre-Pyrenean province of Huesca, that thread through this story. The story begins with a period of research then reconstruction of the instrument (in reality, as much historic-narrative as of the object itself). This is followed by a period of diffusion, which will probably end this year, with the definitive insertion ofthe «new» instrument into traditional festival performances. The people's response to this change remains to be seen; so will open another interesting stage of research: the acceptance or rejection of this «new» cultural implant.
