Resumen de ¿Podemos mejorar la orientación profesional de nuestros estudiantes?

El Grado en Relaciones Laborales y Recursos Humanos (RLRH) tiene un carácter multidisciplinar. Como consecuencia de esta peculiaridad, las competencias que adquieren los estudiantes les dan acceso a salidas profesionales muy heterogéneas. Sin embargo, la experiencia docente desarrollada por profesores de distintas áreas de conocimiento en el Grado en RLRH de la Universidad de Zaragoza ha permitido percibir que muchos de los estudiantes desconocen las salidas y el potencial profesional que ofrece este Grado. En este trabajo se pretende analizar cuál es el nivel de conocimiento de los estudiantes sobre las salidas profesionales que ofrece el Grado en RLRH y, ligado a ello, la valoración que hacen de las actuaciones promovidas desde el centro en el que se imparte (la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y del Trabajo, FCST) para informar y orientar sobre dichas salidas profesionales. Para recabar esta información se ha diseñado una encuesta on-line que fue respondida durante el curso 2017-2018. En la misma han participado 124 estudiantes de los cuatro cursos del Grado, de los cuales el 24% confiesa no conocerlas. Y ello pese a que, para mejorar su orientación, se ha organizado en la FCST una Jornada específica de Salidas Profesionales. Sin embargo, la asistencia a esta Jornada por parte de nuestros estudiantes es muy baja, solo asisten el 15%. De ellos, el 95% la recomendarían a sus compañeros. En este marco, un estudio detallado de los datos permite comprender mejor la motivación y los intereses de los estudiantes de RLRH. El análisis de los resultados obtenidos en esta encuesta es fundamental para tratar de avanzar en la propuesta de actuaciones dentro de la FCST que contribuyan a la mejora de la orientación profesional de los estudiantes.

The Degree in Labour Relations and Human Resources (LRHR), which is taught at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Work (FSSW) of the University of Zaragoza, has a multidisciplinary nature. Students must know what skills they need to acquire and the professional profiles for which they are being prepared. However, from our teaching experience in the degree in LRHR, we have the perception that many of the students do not know the results and the professional potential offered by this degree. This paper aims to ascertain the level of knowledge of our students about the professional opportunities offered by the degree in LRHR and to study the assessment they make of the actions promoted by the FSSW to inform and guide the employability of the degree. To obtain this information, we have designed an online survey aimed at the students of the degree. In the survey, which was answered in 2017-18 academic year, 124 students from the fourth- year degree participated. 24% of respondents state that they don’t know about the professional opportunities. In order to improve the orientation of our students on professional opportunities, we organize the Professional Opportunities Conference at the FSSW. Attendance at this conference by our students is very low, only 15% attend. However, of those who have attended, 95% would recommend it to their peers. A detailed study of the data will allow us to get closer to the motivation and interests of the students of the degree. The analysis of the results obtained in this survey is fundamental to try to advance in the proposal of actions that would allow us to improve the professional orientation of our students. The data obtained will allow us to gain information about the degree of knowledge that our students have of the professional outputs of their degree and how they value the actions aimed at its dissemination.
