    La presente investigación tiene como objetivo explorar el entorno de la industria 4.0 y como pueden contribuir a transformar las empresas en el sector carrocero, como se conoce la importancia del uso de tecnología en la industria carrocera es de gran ayuda ya que en medio de la globalización que atraviesa todo el mundo el no disponer del uso de tecnologías disruptivas para realizar procesos interconectados en base al internet, Big Data, computo móvil puede generar en las empresas carroceras un inadecuado manejo de la información.

    Se ha demostrado que el sector carrocero de la Provincia de Tungurahua ayuda en gran medida a la matriz productiva tanto de la provincia como del país, por lo que los gerentes buscan constantemente innovar en los procesos, todos basados en la reducción de costos y tiempo todo esto se logra con maquinaria y manufactura inteligente. Algunas de estas tecnologías han sido manejadas por años, pero con un bajo perfil sin embargo en la actualidad se busca crear un impacto en la transformación tecnológica incidiendo en varios aspectos que van desde la producción hasta el control inventarios a más del control y soporte de los clientes.

    La industria 4.0 busca la automatización e integración de todos los procesos que se llevan a cabo en una organización, por lo mismo esta industria está obteniendo resultados positivos por lo que al final todas las empresas ambicionarán adquirir este tipo de tecnología inteligente para aumentar su nivel de competitividad y de supervivencia ante la competencia local. Cabe mencionar que en la provincia de Tungurahua operan 27 de las 89 empresas en todo el país, además representa el 13.57% del PIB en el sector de manufactura con un USD 13.987.057 al mismo tiempo este sector es un gran generador de empleo a nivel nacional, ofreciendo empleo estable a 1.348 colaboradores, 137 operadores ocasionales y además de 53 colaboradores con alguna discapacidad basados en la Ley de Código de Trabajo (SRI, 2017). La investigación plateará un escenario incierto donde se comprobará, si las empresas carroceras de Tungurahua cuentan con tecnologías disruptivas para poder tener un alto nivel de competitividad.

    La metodología que se utilizó fue en base al enfoque cuantitativo ya que se examinó datos e información mismos que fueron procesados a través de estadísticas. Además de una investigación no experimental que se basó en conceptos y variables que se dieron sin la intervención directa del investigador es decir de una manera natural y luego se realizó un análisis en base a la información obtenida.

    The objective of this research is to explore the environment of industry 4.0 and how they can contribute to transforming companies in the bodybuilding sector, as the importance of the use of technology in the bodywork industry is known is of great help since in the midst of globalization Not having the use of disruptive technologies to carry out interconnected processes based on the internet, Big Data, and mobile computing throughout the world can generate inadequate information handling in bodywork companies.

    It has been shown that the bodybuilding sector of the Province of Tungurahua greatly helps the productive matrix of both the province and the country, so managers constantly seek to innovate in the processes, all based on reducing costs and time all this is accomplished with machinery and smart manufacturing. Some of these technologies have been handled for years, but with a low profile, however, currently it seeks to create an impact on the technological transformation, affecting various aspects that go from production to inventory control to more than control and support of the customers.

    Industry 4.0 seeks the automation and integration of all the processes that are carried out in an organization, for the same reason this industry is obtaining positive results so that in the end all companies will aspire to acquire this type of intelligent technology to increase their level of competitiveness and survival against local competition. It is worth mentioning that in the province of Tungurahua 27 of the 89 companies operate throughout the country, it also represents 13.57% of GDP in the manufacturing sector with USD 13,987,057 at the same time this sector is a great generator of employment at the level national, offering stable employment to 1,348 employees, 137 occasional operators and in addition to 53 employees with some disability based on the Labor Code Law (SRI, 2017). The investigation will present an uncertain scenario where it will be verified if the Tungurahua bodybuilding companies have disruptive technologies to be able to have a high level of competitiveness.

    The methodology that was used was based on the quantitative approach since data and information were examined, which were processed through statistics. In addition to a non-experimental investigation that was based on concepts and variables that occurred without the direct intervention of the researcher, that is, in a natural way and then analysis was carried out based on the information obtained.
