When we want to teach scientific knowledge in the classroom, we need to have a tool which allows us to transmit this knowledge and arouse the students' interest in science. This tool, the History of Science, should take a rigorous approach to the subject but at the same time be enjoyable. For years, Catalonian teachers at Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and High Education have expanded their science classes with a part of the History of Science. After analyzing several science works made by students, a continuous increase in the use of this tool could be observed. We analyzed more than 70 research works made by ESO students and 250 works from High School students. The authors have been responsible for the assessment of these works and they found a significant increase in the explanation of the historical part of scientific facts which the students have included in their work.
