Resumen de Universitarias de Pedagogía en Historia de la Universidad de la Serena, Chile: ¿Qué las impulsó a participar del movimiento feminista 2018?

  Uno de los principales movimientos sociales en la actualidad es el feminista, el cual a raíz de las diversas manifestaciones realizadas durante el 2018 en manos de universitarias ha potenciado su alcance en Chile. A pesar de su relevancia social y del aumento de la participación de las mujeres en el feminismo, son escasas las investigaciones que indaguen en las razones de las mujeres para participar del Movimiento Feminista. Por lo cual, el objetivo de este estudio es comprender, desde la percepción de las universitarias, los aspectos que las motivaron a ser partícipes del movimiento feminista 2018. Para ello, se realizó un estudio cualitativo de tipo fenomenológico, realizándose entrevistas semiestructuradas a una muestra de 3 mujeres de la carrera de Pedagogía en Historia y Geografía de la Universidad de la Serena, Chile, que participaron del movimiento 2018 y de la Asamblea de Mujeres Autoconvocadas ULS. El análisis evidenció el conocimiento de situaciones de acoso en la universidad por parte de pares y autoridades, y la búsqueda de un entorno más equitativo y justo como principales incentivos de participación. A su vez, se pudo indagar acerca del origen, organización, y consecuencias que trajeron consigo la movilización del año 2018.

  One of the main social movements today is the feminist, which as a result of the various demonstrations carried out during 2018 in the hands of university students has strengthened its reach in Chile. Despite its social relevance and the increased participation of women in feminism, there is little research that investigates the reasons for women to participate in the feminist movement. Therefore, the objective of this study is to understand, from the perception of the university students, the aspects that motivated them to participate in the Feminist Movement 2018. For this, a qualitative study of a phenomenological type was carried out, carrying out semi-structured interviews to a sample of 3 women from the Pedagogy in History and Geography career at the University of La Serena, Chile, who participated in the 2018 movement and the Self-convened Women's Assembly ULS. The analysis evidenced the knowledge of harassment situations in the university by peers and authorities, and the search for a more equitable and fairer environment as the main incentives for participation. In turn, it was possible to inquire about the origin, organization, and consequences that the mobilization of 2018 brought with it.
