    El presente trabajo trata de innovar el área de la educación superior mediante el estudio de los beneficios que presenta la redacción del ensayo como herramienta y estrategia pedagógica en el nivel superior de enseñanza de Puerto Rico. Continuamente observamos los profesores de lengua las grandes dificultades que presentan los alumnos en sus principales años de formación universitaria porque desconoce muchas de las herramientas básicas para la redacción eficiente. La propuesta que defiende esta investigación es la redacción eficiente mediante el uso del ensayo argumentativo y su elaboración en el aula académica de enseñanza.

    The present work tries to innovate the area of higher education through the study of the benefits that the writing of the essay presents as a pedagogical tool and strategy in the higher education level of Puerto Rico. We continually observe language teachers the great difficulties that students present in their main years of university education because they do not know many of the basic tools for efficient writing. The proposal that defends this research is the efficient writing using the argumentative essay and its preparation in the academic teaching classroom.
