  • Resumen
    • The tourism sector is closely linked to development to the point of becoming one of the world’s fastest-growing economic sectors. However, although this dynamic makes it an essential driver of socioeconomic progress, the tourism industry today poses real problems in terms of impact on the natural and socio-cultural environment. These negative impacts occur when the level of the socio-environmental impact of tourists is higher than the capacity of the environment to adapt to them, and result, contrary to the trilogy of sustainable development, an ecological disaster, an unfair economic contribution, social discrimination and a profound cultural shock. In this context, this communication contributes to the adoption of the new paradigm of sustainable development by proposing in the framework of this study, responsible and solidarity ecotourism as a solution to the problem of mass tourism, through the establishment of a collective organization in the form of a community cooperative for the promotion and enhancement of sustainable ecotourism among economic actors, environmental and social issues in the High Atlas region (Morocco).
