Communities of sports practitioners, sociocultural impacts of tourism and the complex sports insertion in tourist contexts

    En el siguiente trabajo abundaremos sobre el binomio “turismo- deporte”, considerando que dicha relación trasciende la propia oferta del turismo deportivo, la cual da forma a un sistema deportivo repleto de matices y particularidades. El sistema deportivo acoge distintas comunidades de practicantes que mantienen relaciones particulares entre ellas y el contexto turístico, poniendo en juego diferentes formas de tratar el impacto sociocultural derivados del turismo. De tal modo, la figura del turista deportivo, más allá de una consideración individual del mismo, responderá a las significaciones culturales que le sean propias, al igual que sucederá con los deportistas locales o residentes en zonas turísticas. Tratándose de una investigación en curso, haremos referencia a la metodología utilizada, tanto en la búsqueda y consulta de fuentes de fuentes y datos secundarios, como la consideración de estrategias de triangulación múltiple que incluyen la posterior realización de entrevistas etnográficas y técnicas de observación participante.

    The aim of this article is to reflext on the binomial “tourism-sport”. This relationship transcends the offer of sports tourism itself, and shapes a sports system full of nuances and particularities. The sports system welcomes different communities of practitioners with particular relationships between them and with the tourist context, putting into play different ways of dealing with the sociocultural impact derived from tourism. In this regard, the sports tourist, beyond individual considerations, will respond to the cultural meanings, as will happen with local athletes or residents in tourist areas. In the case of an ongoing investigation like this, we will refer to the methodology used, both in the research and in the consultation of primary and secondary sources and data, as well as the consideration of multiple triangulation strategies that include the subsequent performance of ethnographic interviews and participant observation techniques.
