The Capital and Habitus Instrument in Civil Engineering (ICHIC) is a tool with which it is intended to describe the way in which the inherent capitals of students, such as cultural and social, are reconfigured in them when they take the IC license. It is in the construction of didactic prototypes, such as the implementation of an alternative instrumentation based on Arduino, where knowledge that has to do with mathematics, information technologies and related to Civil Engineering (IC) comes into play. The results obtained in the investigation describe the way in which a school habitus is configured in the students of the IC through its cultural capital (incorporated, objective and institutionalized) and its social capital.
