    El presente artículo busca aportar una visión sobre cómo superar las divisiones tradicionales entre disciplinas STEM y las ciencias sociales y humanas basados en la reflexión sobre la alineación que debería tener la educación en carreras STEM con las políticas de CTI orientadas hacia los grandes desafíos globales. Discutiremos sobre el cambio paradigmático en la dirección de las políticas de CTI y la educación STEM. Así como reflexionaremos sobre cómo el énfasis en el análisis multivariable y multicausal de los desafíos globales permite ahondar el entendimiento de la interconectividad entre las humanidades y las ciencias sociales con las disciplinas STEM.

    This article seeks to provide a vision on how to overcome the traditional division between STEM disciplines and the social and human sciences based on the reflection on the alignment that STEM education should have with STI policies oriented towards the great global challenges. We will discuss the paradigm shift in the direction of STI policies and STEM education. Also, we will reflect on how the emphasis on multivariate and multicausal analysis of global challenges allows us to deepen the understanding of the interconnectivity between the humanities and the social sciences with the STEM disciplines.
