This paper deals with noun clauses from a lexicographic point of view, based on their status as syntactic structures with a lexical dependency. The subject under analysis is the difference between Spanish and Italian in matrix predicate selection of: (i) the mood of subordinate, (ii) finite or infinitive subordinate, (iii) preposition before subordinate sentence. The fundamental objective is to make a proposal that enables nouns and verbs recorded in the dictionary as headwords to have in their entries schematic syntactic information about Spanish-Italian differences (with examples). This type of information must take several criteria into consideration: pertinence, precision, marker, coherence and circularity.
