No es para tanto... Enseñanza explícita de pragmática en los cumplidos del español de España

    Los hablantes nativos de España no suelen aceptar el cumplido en el primer tuno de palabra durante una conversación. La observación continua de que la mayoría de los estudiantes de ELE lo aceptan, nos ha llevado a la presente investigación. Los objetivos principales son: estudiar si la enseñanza explícita de este acto de habla permite a los estudiantes actuar como hablantes nativos, y si los informantes usan las mismas estrategias una vez estudiada la estructura del cumplido. Para ello, se ha entrevistado a los informantes antes y después de enseñar de manera explícita este acto de habla, y se han descrito las estrategias empleadas para aceptar, rechazar y cuestionarlo en los diferentes turnos de palabra.

    Spanish native speakers do not usually accept a compliment the first time this speech act is uttered during a conversation. The continuous observation of the students of Spanish as a foreign language accepting the compliments in the first instance has made us carry out the research presented in this paper. The main aims of this investigation are: 1) to ascertain whether the explicit instruction on compliments makes informants behave similarly to Spanish native speakers when receiving compliments and 2) whether informants use the same strategies in the response to compliments as Spanish native speakers do. In order to carry out this study, pre and post interviews were conducted before and after the explicit instruction on compliments. The paper also presents the different strategies to accept, reject or question the compliments in different types of turn taking
