Discurso presente de la animación sociocultural en España: Estudio exploratorio

    Durante las cuatro décadas de existencia de la Animación Sociocultural en España, ésta ha pasado por diferentes épocas siendo en la actualidad la más compleja y difusa en cuanto a visibilización, activismo y proyección de futuro. El origen de esta disciplina en nuestro país se remonta a principios del siglo XX, como consecuencia del desarrollo industrial, aunque es a partir de mediados del siglo XIX, cuando emanan las carencias sociales y surge la necesidad de dar respuesta a las transformaciones sociales y a la construcción de su propia identidad social y cultural. Es en la época democrática donde la ASC avanza aceleradamente, siendo la década de los ochenta su momento más álgido con líderes sociales coordinando el trabajo sociocultural de su territorio. En los noventa se formaliza con la titulación universitaria de Educación Social -que recoge una asignatura de Animación Sociocultural- y el título de Formación Profesional en ASC (en sus inicios denominado “Técnicos Especialista en Animación Sociocultural”, posteriormente “Técnico en Animación Sociocultural -TASOC-” y actualmente “Técnico Superior en Animación Sociocultural y Turística- TASOCT-”). Sin embargo, en la actualidad vivimos un momento de ralentización, e incluso de parón de las iniciativas socioculturales, en un estado de conformismo social sumado a la crisis sociosanitaria que ha provocado el Covid19 a nivel mundial, que requiere una reactivación de la participación social y las iniciativas comunitarias.

    Presentamos un estudio descriptivo exploratorio, centrado en una metodología cualitativa a través del análisis del discurso de las entrevistas realizadas a profesionales Técnicos/as en Animación Sociocultural. Su objetivo es detectar y analizar las percepciones que tienen estos/as profesionales sobre la ASC actual en base a cinco temas: conceptualización, práctica, presente, dignificación y cambios sociales.

    During the four decades of existence of Sociocultural Animation in Spain, it has gone through different periods, currently being the most complex and diffuse in terms of visibility, activism and future projection. The origin of this discipline in our country dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, as a consequence of industrial development, although it is from the middle of the 19th century, when social deficiencies emanate and the need to respond to social transformations and construction of their own social and cultural identity. It is in the democratic era where the ASC advances rapidly, with the eighties being its most critical moment with social leaders coordinating the socio-cultural work of their territory. In the nineties, it was formalized with the university degree in Social Education -which includes a Sociocultural Animation subject- and the ASC Professional Training degree (initially called “Specialist Technicians in Sociocultural Animation”, later “Sociocultural Animation Technician -TASOC - ”and currently“ Senior Technician in Sociocultural and Tourist Animation- TASOCT- ”). However, we are currently experiencing a moment of slowdown, and even a stoppage of socio-cultural initiatives, in a state of social conformism added to the socio-health crisis that has caused Covid19 worldwide, which requires a reactivation of social and community initiatives.

    We present an exploratory descriptive study, focused on a qualitative methodology through the analysis of the discourse of the interviews carried out with technical professionals in Sociocultural Animation. Its objective is to detect and analyze the perceptions that these professionals have about current ASC based on five themes: conceptualization, practice, present, dignity and social changes.
