Formación docente en TIC y su evidencia en tiempos de COVID-19

    La investigación que expone el presente artículo ha emergido de la necesidad de saber qué tan preparados están los/as profesores/as en el área de TIC para enfrentar sus labores educativas en tiempos de confinamiento, teniendo como objetivo conocer el nivel de dominio y uso de TIC de los/as profesores/as en tiempos de COVID-19. La metodología utilizada responde a una investigación cuantitativa no experimental de tipo transversal y de alcance exploratorio. La población de estudio está compuesta por 148 docentes de cuatro establecimientos educacionales y la muestra, no probabilística por conveniencia, corresponde a 66 individuos. Los resultados indican que el 78% de los/as encuestados/as usaba TIC antes de la situación de confinamiento, el 30% de la muestra no tuvo capacitaciones en esa área y solo el 36% se siente realmente preparado para formar a sus estudiantes a través de TIC. Se concluye que no existe una falta de conocimiento significativa con respecto al manejo y uso de TIC en el contexto educativo en tiempos de COVID-19, sin embargo, los/as docentes consideran que es un problema utilizar TIC en el contexto educativo, debido a que el confinamiento y la no presencialidad generan una retroalimentación más lenta entre estudiantes y profesores/as, en comparación a la que se produce en las condiciones educacionales normales.

    The research presented in this article has emerged from the need to know how prepared teachers are in the area of ICT to face their educational tasks in times of confinement, with the objective of knowing the level of mastery and use of ICT of teachers in times of COVID-19. The methodology used responds to a non-experimental quantitative investigation of a transversal type and exploratory scope. The study population is made up of 148 teachers from four educational establishments and the sample, non-probabilistic for convenience, corresponds to 66 individuals. The results indicate that 78% of the respondents used ICT before the confinement, 30% of the sample did not have training in this area and only 36% feel really prepared to train their students to through ICT. It is concluded that there is no significant lack of knowledge regarding the management and use of ICT in the educational context in times of COVID-19, however, teachers consider that it is a problem to use ICT in the educational context, due to that confinement and non-presence generate a slower feedback between students and teachers, compared to that which occurs in normal educational conditions.
