    Se trata de contrastar la fiabilidad de la información de los bienes en poder de los jesuitas de Úbeda, recogida en el Catastro de Ensenada (1752), en comparación con la contenida en los autos de venta de sus temporalidades con motivo de su expulsión en 1767. Otro objetivo era saber quiénes trabajaban para ellos, en qué oficios y sus circunstancias familiares. Tras la introducción, se presenta el contexto socioeconómico de la ciudad. En tercer lugar, se estudia la comunidad y el personal al servicio del Colegio. Un cuarto apartado, se dedica al patrimonio de la Compañía, terminando con las correspondientes conclusiones.

    It is a question of contrasting the reliability of the information of the goods held by the Jesuits of Úbeda (Jaén, Spain), collected in the Cadaster of Ensenada (1752), compared to the one contained in the sales records of their temporalities on the occasion of their expulsion in 1767. Another objective was to know who worked for them, in what trades and their family circumstances. After the introduction, the socioeconomic context of the city is presented. Third, the community and staff at the service of the College are studied. A fourth section is devoted to the Company’s patrimony, ending with the corresponding conclusions.
