    Las ciudades han sido tradicionalmente lugares de refugio de la población y centros de desarrollo e intercambio. La seguridad —y la confianza que se deriva de ella— son fundamentales para que desempeñen ambos papeles. En un entorno crecientemente digital la seguridad incluye, cada vez más, la ciberseguridad. La capacidad para integrar talento que siempre ha caracterizado al entorno urbano se une ahora a la de generar y gestionar datos procedentes de sensores que incrementan la eficiencia. Las ciudades se han convertido en el eje del desarrollo humano y, por lo tanto, en infraestructuras críticas que hay que proteger.

    Cities have traditionally provided shelter and exchange possibilities to their population. Security -and, subsequently, trustare key in their ability to perform both roles. In an increasingly growing digital environment security involves cybersecurity. The ability to integrate talent which always characterized cities needs to be merged now with that of generating and managing data from ubiquitous sensors which increase efficiency. Cities have become the hub for human development and, therefore, in critical infrastructures that need to be protected.
