Educar, instruir y formar: una configuración tríadica

    El concepto de pedagogía, el tema pedagógico y la pedagogía como ciencia, disciplina, saber o reflexión, han sido estudiados por múltiples autores en todos los continentes. Destacan en este abordaje las tradiciones de Alemania, Francia, Estados Unidos y Latinoamérica. Las concepciones sobre la pedagogía que se han venido configurando a lo largo de la historia de la educación difieren en las diversas regiones y países. Es por ello que un análisis minucioso, detallado y profundo de la configuración epistémica de la noción de pedagogía requiere tener en cuenta no sólo la propia dimensión epistémica de la misma sino además su dimensión geográfica. A partir de dicha reflexión, se definen los conceptos educación, instrucción y formación. En este artículo se asume que educar es acoger, instruir es configurar y formar es emancipar. Se establece una relación dialéctica entre la instrucción y la educación.

    The concept of pedagogy, pedagogical topic, and the pedagogy as a science, discipline, knowledge and reflection, have been studied in many authors on all continents. This approach includes the traditions from Germany, France, United States and Latin America. The conceptions of pedagogy that have been set up throughout the history of education differ from various regions and countries. Therefore, a thorough detailed and profound analysis of the notion of pedagogy epistemic configuration, requires taking into account not only the own epistemic from the same dimension, but also its geographical dimension. From this reflection, concepts education, instruction, and training, are defined. This article assumes that to educate is to host, instructing is to set up and to form is emancipating. Finally, a dialectic relationship between instruction and education is also established.
