  • Resumen
    • Instructional developers employing a systematic approach typically use various types of analysis tools such as a needs analysis or a task analysis. While instructional developers have shown that the careful application of analysis tools can result in effective instruction, they often fail to examine additional key factors which affect the eventual implementation of the instructional product. An analysis of the major factors with the potential to inhibit the adoption of an innovation can lead to the development of instructional products that are both effective and desirable to potential adopters. This paper considers the importance of an adoption analysis in the development of instruction, and outlines its systematic application. The intent is to provide designers with an additional tool for the development of successful instructional products.
