    El filósofo y pedagogo José Antonio Marina lleva años trabajando en el Proyecto Centauro que recibe su nombre de un comentario que Garry Kasparov, campeón mundial de ajedrez, realizó tras perder su competición con el programa Deep Blue, de IBM, cuando le preguntaron «¿Cómo piensa que puede ser el jugador de ajedrez del siglo XXI?». A lo que respondió: «Será un jugador centauro, una cabeza humana en colaboración con su ordenador».

    La propuesta de este Proyecto sostiene que los sistemas de Inteligencia Artificial (AI) deben formar parte de la inteligencia generadora de las personas, y en este sentido el modelo dual de la inteligencia (ejecutiva y generadora) permitirá diseñar bien este ensamblaje.

    The philosopher and pedagogue José Antonio Marina has spent years working on the Centauro Project, which is named after a comment that Garry Kasparov, the world chess champion, made after losing his competition with IBM’s Deep Blue program, when he was asked «How Do you think you can be the chess player of the 21st century?». To which he replied: «It will be a centaur player, a human head in collaboration with your computer.» The proposal of this Project maintains that Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems must be part of the generating intelligence of people, and in this sense the dual model of intelligence (executive and generating) will allow to design this assembly well.
