Pero, ¿a qué se dedica un TASOC?: Visualizando la figura del Técnico Superior de Animación Sociocultural

    A lo largo del curso académico 2011-2012, el alumnado de primero y segundo curso del Ciclo Superior de Animación Sociocultural del Instituto de Educación Secundaria Francesc Ribalta, ubicado en Castellón de La Plana (Comunidad Valenciana), así como varios de los instructores de la formación en los diversos centros de trabajos (FCT) del mismo ciclo y yo, en calidad de profesora y tutora de dicho ciclo, evidenciamos la necesidad de difundir y clarificar aspectos cardinales de la figura del TASOC (Técnico Superior de Animación Sociocultural). En este artículo partiremos de un acercamiento conceptual a la Animación Sociocultural, comentando su definición, origen y marco legislativo. Nos centraremos en elementos fundamentales como sus postulados, las funciones y actitudes del TASOC y qué ocupaciones pueden desempeñar. Como colofón final, haremos un recorrido por el Casal Jove de Castellón, en el que actualmente está becada una TASOC.

    Throughout the academic year 2011-2012 the students of the first and the second year of the Socio-Cultural Animation cycle in the Francesc Ribalta Secondary High School, located in Castellon de la Plana (Valencian Community), together with several instructors at the different working centres (FCT) of the same cycle and me, as the teacher and tutor, point out the need for divulging and clarifying cardinal aspects of the figure of the TASOC (Socio-Cultural Animation Technician). In this article, we will start with a conceptual approach to Socio-Cultural Animation, commenting on its definition, origin and legislative frame. We will focus on fundamental elements such as its principles, functions and attitudes of the TASOC and what kind of jobs they can carry out. Finally, we will take a tour of Castellón's Casal Jove (Youth Club), where a TASOC is holding a scholarship at present.
