    El 30 de abril de 2020 el Instituto Español de Estudios Estratégicos (IEEE) cumple cincuenta años. Durante todos estos años se han producido profundos cambios, tanto en la esfera internacional como nacional. El IEEE también ha ido modificando su dependencia orgánica, funciones y estructura organizativa. Pero a pesar de estas transformaciones, el IEEE ha mantenido la esencia y el fin para el que fue creado:

    acercar a la sociedad española la investigación y el pensamiento estratégico con el objeto de fomentar una cultura y una conciencia de defensa.

    On April 30, 2020, the Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies (IEEE) turns fifty. During all these years there have been profound changes in both the international and national spheres. The IEEE has also been changing its organizational dependency, functions, and organizational structure. But despite these transformations, the IEEE has maintained the essence and purpose for which it was created: to bring research and strategic thinking closer to Spanish society in order to foster a culture and an awareness of defense.
