Estudo da importância da animação sociocultural em contexto educativo

    In our society there are worrying situations that have been increasing: parents have less and less time for their children, children are keeping apart from each other, the rising of violent situations at school, the growing children’s demotivation towards school. All these circumstances are worrying and in need of going down.

    Therefore Socio-Cultural Animation has got a set of theoretical, methodological and practical fundamentals that allow a greater intervention in the preventive, educational and social aspect of children. The Socio-Cultural Animation technicians have got an important role in the promotion and motivation of the social and creative capabilities, helping in the promotion of the educational success.

    With this study we aim to investigate the impact of Socio-Cultural Animation in the circumstances abovementioned, especially in the school context and, consequently, in the educational community wellbeing.

    The Case Study took place in Agrupamento de Escolas Nuno Álvares with beginner students, from 6 to 10 years old, in a total of 609 students and 36 teachers.

    This study concluded that it’s important that Socio-Cultural Animation should have a more essential part in the school context and at schools, since it enables a higher quality of the educational offer and allows the establishment of conditions for the education in a non-formal situation, by valuing the social values and preventing risk behaviours.

    Na nossa sociedade verificam-se situações preocupantes que se têm agravado cada vez mais: os pais têm menos tempo para os seus filhos, as crianças mais isoladas umas das outras, o aumento das situações de violência nas escolas, a crescente desmotivação das crianças face à escola. Todas estas circunstâncias são preocupantes e urge minorar.

    Assim sendo, a Animação Sociocultural possui um conjunto de fundamentos teóricos, metodológicos e práticos que permitem uma maior intervenção na vertente preventiva, educativa e social dos alunos. Os técnicos de animação sociocultural têm um papel importante na promoção e motivação das potencialidades sociais e criativas, podendo auxiliar na promoção do sucesso educativo.

    Com este estudo procuramos promover a investigação sobre o impacto da Animação Sociocultural nos factos acima referidos, especialmente no que respeita o contexto escolar e, por consequência, o bem-estar da comunidade educativa.

    O Estudo de Caso foi efetuado no Agrupamento de Escolas Nuno Álvares com alunos do 1º Ciclo, com idades entre os 6 e 10 anos, num total de 609 alunos e 36 docentes.

    Com este estudo conclui-se que é importante que Animação Sociocultural tenha um papel mais fundamental no contexto educativo e nas escolas, pois proporciona uma maior qualidade da oferta educativa e permite a criação de condições para a educação não formal, valorizando os valores sociais e prevenindo comportamentos de risco.
