    It is very important to get to know the 0-3-year-old audience, as well as the adapted editorial offerings, to reach a successful mediation. In integrating families within their cultural diversity, the library’s “Baby readers” animation takes on its full meaning. To nourish the child with words, images and sharing allows him to build his imagination. The toddler, expressing his pleasure while discovering picture books, finds his family associated with this special moment. No matter the culture, the parents, in the convivial instant, gradually surpass their eventual apprehension regarding the toddler’s initiation as well as the environment. The diversified, quality editorial offerings allow librarians to render “Baby readers” animation full of surprises and enrichment.

    Bien connaître le public des 0-3 ans, ainsi que l’offre éditoriale adaptée, est très important pour une médiation réussie. En intégrant les familles dans leur diversité culturelle, l’animation « Bébés lecteurs » à la bibliothèque prend tout son sens. Nourrir l’enfant de mots, d’images et de partage permet à celui-ci de construire son imaginaire.
