Los enfrentamientos entre el grupo rebelde M23 y el ejército congoleño (FARDC) se han repetido en los últimos años en Goma y sus alrededores. Los rebeldes, debilitados por los ataques de las tropas del gobierno y de la brigada de intervención de las Naciones Unidas, se han visto obligados a retirarse de sus posiciones y a volver a la mesa de negociación que habían abandonado en el mes de mayo. En este documento se analizan las causas, desarrollo y perspectivas de este conflicto de los Grandes Lagos, formado a su vez por varios conflictos, que no parece tener fin.
Last years’ hostilities between the M23 rebel group and the National Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) known as the FARDC, in Goma and surrounding area. The M23 rebels, weakened by the recent attacks by government troops and by the United Nations Intervention Brigade, were forced to pull out of their positions and to come back to the negotiation table. In this document, the reasons, development and perspectives of this conflict are analyzed.
