    Keith Jenkins es un historiador británico, que ha tratado particularmente con la teoría de la historia posmoderna y ha criticado fuertemente la tesis tradicional historiográfica sobre la objetividad potencial de la representación histórica.     Keith Jenkins is a British historian, who has dealt particularly with the postmodern historical theory and has strongly criticized the traditional historiographical thesis about the potential objectivity of historical representation Based on the theories of Hayden White and Jacques Derrida, Jenkins concludes that the postmodern era has no real need of what we understand as history. The paper shows how and how much the postmodern theory and especially the points of Keith Jenkins have influenced contemporary historical theory. The mistakes and the contradictions being revealed attempt to show new directions in the philosophy of history and in the way the historians understand and represent the past.
