Educación popular, educación ambiental y buen vivir en América Latina: Una experiencia socioeducativa de empoderamiento comunitario

    La complejidad de la crisis ecológica y social global y el cambio climático nos lleva a buscar respuestas concretas desde la tarea socioeducativa. Esta propuesta consiste en un análisis críticocomplejo en torno a la problemática socioambiental global-local, junto con reflexiones conceptuales en torno a educación, ambiente y buen vivir (sumak kawsay). Conceptos, estos últimos, surgidos de la práctica educativa de un proyecto de Investigación-Acción-Participativa (IAP), como propuesta de tesis doctoral en Educación.

    Se comenta, a modo de lecciones aprendidas, resultados breves de la sistematización de la experiencia de educación popular ambiental en el Proyecto comunitario “Convento Eco-emprende”.

    Este proyecto, se ubica en la parroquia rural de Convento, Provincia Manabí, Ecuador, en donde, a partir del fortalecimiento de capacidades locales organizativas, se inició en 2017 la bio-construcción participativa de un centro comunitario agroecológico y la implementación de un huerto comunitario. Entendemos que tanto el centro como el huerto comunitario, son espacios-ambientes de intercambio de saberes que se orientan hacia el empoderamiento colectivo y de transformación social.

    The complexity of the global social and ecological crisis and climate change leads us to seek concrete answers in the field of social education. This proposal consists of a critical and complex analysis around the global-local socio-environmental problematic, together with conceptual reflections in education, environment and buen vivir (sumak kawsay). These concepts came through the educative practice of a Participatory Action Research project (PAR), as a doctoral thesis proposal in Education.

    We present, as learned lessons, some results derived from the systematization of the environmental popular educative experience in the community project "Convento Eco-emprende". This project is located at a rural territory called Convento, in the province of Manabí, Ecuador. Looking for the strengthening of the organizational local capabilities, we initiated in 2017 the participative bioconstruction of an agro-ecological community center and a community garden. We understand that both, the center and the community garden, are environments - spaces for the exchange of knowledge that are oriented to the collective empowerment and social transformation
