    El artículo describe el trabajo realizado por el Cuerpo Académico de Diseño e Innovación del Instituto Tecnológico Mario Molina, Unidad Académica de Puerto Vallarta a través de los proyectos que se presentaron en las tres ediciones de la exposición “Usted está aquí” llevadas a cabo durante los años 2016, 2017 y 2018, en la Oficina de Proyectos Culturales OPC en la ciudad de Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco México. El objetivo general de las tres participaciones fue plantear a través de una serie de piezas de representación, ejercicios de percepción y reflexión en torno a la ciudad de Puerto Vallarta, y los retos que significan la construcción participativa de una ciudad turística sustentable. Desde una mirada crítica se abordaron ejes conceptuales como: territorio turístico, identidad, segregación, cartografía humana, relación con el paisaje y desarrollo de nuevas centralidades.La propuesta describe cómo se ha generado a partir de los formatos de exhibición artística un nuevo espacio de acercamiento entre la academia, los artistas y la comunidad para pensar y generar una agenda de nuevos proyectos que permitan ofrecer nuevas soluciones al desarrollo y futuro de la ciudad.

    The article describes the work done by the research team, Design and Innovation of the Instituto Tecnológico Mario Molina, Unidad Académica de Puerto Vallarta, through the projects that were presented in the three editions of the exhibition "You are here" made over the years 2016, 2017 and 2018, in the Office of Cultural Projects OPC in the city of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco Mexico.

    The general objective of the three participations was to raise, through a series of pieces of representation, exercises of perception and reflection around the city of Puerto Vallarta, and the challenges that the participative construction of a sustainable tourism city means.

    From a critical perspective, the conceptual axes were studied as: tourism territory, identity, segregation, human cartography, the relationship between the landscape and the development of new centralities.

    The proposal describes how a new space of approach between the academy, the artists and the community has been generated from the formats of artistic exhibition to think and generate new projects that allow to offer new solutions to the development and becoming of a tourist city
